Davies Craig Electric Cooling Pumps and Fans

High-performance Davies Craig Electric Water Pumps (EWPs), Electric Booster Pumps (EBPs), and electric fans can free up valuable horsepower while giving you more control over your engine temperatures. Eliminating the drag of a water pump and fan also speeds up gearchanges because the engine has less inertia to overcome.

Belt-driven water pumps require design compromises in order to provide adequate cooling at low RPMs, but this can cause cavitation and large horsepower losses at high RPMs. Electric water pumps can be run at whatever speed the engine requires, regardless of engine speed. The Davies Craig water pump controller can even run the pump after the engine is shut off to avoid heat soak.

In addition to the low-speed compromise, belt-driven fans spin the fastest when they may not be needed at all, when the vehicle is travelling at high speeds and getting natural airflow through the radiator. Electric fans can be run only when needed and turned off when airflow is adequate.
