AMB / MyLaps Transponder Decoder System Components
Equip your track with a MyLaps / AMB transponder system for quicker, more accurate race results. This is the system used by most road racing and karting sanctioning bodies, including SCCA, PCA, MCSCC, WKA, VSCDA, and many others.
The transponder system consists of four parts:
Detection Loop - buried under the track surface at the start/finish line.
Decoder - connected to the Detection Loop and your Timing and Scoring computer.
Timing & Scoring Computer - with Orbits Software installed.
Transponders - one mounted on each vehicle.
Each Transponder has a unique ID number. Each time it passes the Detection Loop, the loop picks up the short-range signal being transmitted by the transponder. This signal is translated by the Decoder into the transponder's own ID number, which the Orbits Software matches to the vehicle and driver.
With the Orbits software, you can sort, lay out, and print results for each session quickly and easily. You can even upload results to MYLAPS.com for all competitors to see.
