Aeromotive Fuel Filters with 40 Micron Elements
A filter rated to 40 microns is recommended for use after the fuel pump to protect your carburetor from medium-sized particles that can clog jets and other critical passages.
Never use a filter this fine before the pump! Fuel pumps have no problem pushing fuel through these filters, but a fine element on the suction side can cause enough cavitation to destroy high-performance pumps.
The inexpensive Cellulose elements are appropriate for use with pure gasoline, gasoline/ethanol blends up to E15, and diesel fuel.
The high-tech Microglass elements can be used with any fuel, from pure gasoline and diesel all the way to pure alcohol.
