Lifeline Splined Quick-Release Steering Wheel Hubs
Lifeline has been supplying quick-release steering wheel hubs to racecar constructors all the way up to F1 for many years. The special asymmetric spline allows mating in only one orientation so you will never end up with a cock-eyed steering wheel. Despite the extremely tight tolerances, each rleases easily with a spring-loaded sliding sleeve with four locking balls.
The hub and sleeve portion are CNC-machined aluminum, hard anodized for long life. Weld-On hubs include an EN3B (SAE 1020) steel "slug" which gets welded to your steering shaft.
