Custom Hose Order Form for #4 Plastic Covered Stainless PTFE Brake/Clutch Hose per Inch

Use this page to specify the length and type of hose ends to be installed on your custom-made hose. If you want more than one hose assembly made to the same exact specifications, you can also specify the quantity of hoses to be made. The default quantity is one. The prices of the hose ends shown below include the cost of installation and proof testing.

Specify the length of the assembled hose: inches

The length of the hose assembly is measured to the center of the sealing surface (the flare for AN fittings). For banjo hose ends, the length is measured to the center of the banjo. The normal length tolerance is 0.25 inch plus 1% of the overall length (plus or minus). Minimum length is 6 inches. Maximum length is 240 inches.

Specify Fitting Alignment:

Important Note: It can be very difficult to determine the fitting alignment without trial and error. When bends are introduced to the hose, the apparent orientation can change significantly. If at all possible, at least one end of the hose should have a straight fitting with a swivel nut (or a straight bulkhead mounted fitting) so that you don't have to worry about fitting alignment. If one end DOES have a straight fitting with a swivel nut (or a straight bulkhead mounted fitting) , just leave the alignment at the 0° default value.

#4 Plastic Covered Stainless PTFE Brake/Clutch Hose per Inch

This high-pressure hose has a smooth, extruded PTFE liner with a stainless steel wire braid cover. An additional black plastic outer cover* provides a clean appearance while helping to keep dust and grime out of the braid. Rated for use at -90°F to +450°F. Maximum operating pressure 4,205 psi. Minimum burst pressure over 12,000 psi.

-3 size is the most common size for brake lines and oil pressure gauge lines. It is also popular for clutch lines.
-4 size is ideal for clutch lines. It is also used for brake lines where a lot of fluid is displaced (such as drum brake systems).
(Note: Only steel, stainless steel, or high pressure brass fittings should be used with brake lines. We recommend against aluminum fittings in brake systems.)

Note: You must strip the black outer covering back prior to installing your hose ends. The hose end collar must bear against the braid, not against the black covering.
