This oil pressure warning switch is perfect for turning on a light (sold separately) to indicate a loss of oil pressure. The pressure is easily adjustable from 20 to 40 psi. Just remove the rubber plug on the back of the sender and adjust the set screw using a 7/32" Allen wrench (turn clockwise to increase the trigger pressure; counter-clockwise to lower it). Installs in any 1/8 NPT port. Single terminal (grounding-type) switch works with any of our warning lights or any other two-wire (non-grounding) warning light.
When the pressure is above the set point, the switch is open (circuit interrupted, warning light off)
When the pressure drops below the set point, the switch is closed (circuit completed, warning light on)
Note: This switch depends on an electrical ground to complete the circuit. When installed in a rubber fuel line, it will require a ground wire from the switch body to a ground on the chassis.
