Aeromotive Fuel Filters with 10 Micron Elements
A filter rated to 10 microns is recommended for use after the fuel pump to protect your carburetor or fuel injectors from fine particles that will clog precision-machined passages. All of these filters are appropriate for carbureted or fuel injected applications.
Never use a filter this fine before the pump! Fuel pumps have no problem pushing fuel through these filters, but a 10 micron element on the suction side can cause cavitation which will quickly destroy high-performance pumps.
The inexpensive Cellulose elements are appropriate for use with pure gasoline, gasoline/ethanol blends up to E15, and diesel fuel.
The high-tech Microglass elements can be used with any fuel, from pure gasoline and diesel all the way to pure alcohol.
