HANS Devices, Model 30 for Formula Cars
For lay-down formula cars and sports racers
The Model 30 HANS Device is designed for most reclined applications, including the majority of formula cars and sports racers. Barrel-chested drivers often find the Model 30 HANS Device comfortable, even in more upright seats. Very slim drivers may prefer the Model 20 HANS Device.
To find the correct angle for your application, sit in your car and measure the angle of your chest from vertical. If the angle is 25 degrees or more, the Model 30 HANS Device is probably best for you. If the angle is less than 25 degrees, you may want to try the Model 20 HANS Device. Driver comfort is the bottom line, regardless of what the math says. If the backboard pushes your helmet forward or you have pressure on your shoulders, you may need a more upright model.
To determine the correct size, measure your neck and follow the chart below.

* Drivers with highly developed neck and trapezuis muscles may require one size larger than their neck size alone would indicate. Again, driver comfort is the deciding factor.
