Hood Pins are a logical replacement for OEM hood latches on racing vehicles. Most OEM latches require the driver to find and operate a pull handle before the crew can fish for and release the secondary latch. This wastes valuable seconds, and that's only if the cable doesn't break in the heat of the moment!
