High-Performance Ignition Coils
Many mysterious ignition problems are eventually traced to a failing coil. A spare, high-quality ignition coil is cheap insurance. All of our coils are designed for 12 volt electrical systems.
The Pertronix and Lucas coils do not require ballast resistors and are ideal for most 4 and 6 cylinder applications running breaker points or a standard breakerless ignition such as the original Pertronix Ignitor (black module).
The MSD Blaster 2 coil is optimized for use with MSD ignition systems.
The Pertronix Flame-Thrower II is specifically for use with Pertronix Ignitor II (red module) systems.
Note: Bosch has discontinued production of the beloved "Blue" coil. We recommend the epoxy-filled Pertronix Flame-Thrower (Standard) as a high-performance replacement.
