Setrab Multi-Pass Oil Coolers

Unlike standard Setrab Pro-Line coolers, Setrab multi-pass coolers have at least one divided end tank that sends the oil through half (or one-third) of the cooling rows, then back through the next fraction of rows. Applications with low flow rates below about 3 GPH (such as gearboxes, differentials, and most motorcycle engines) often benefit from the use of a multi-pass cooler.

Note that the effective number of rows is half (or one-third) the actual number of rows, and that the effective length of the rows is twice (or triple) the actual length. Both of these factors increase pressure drop (up to nearly 1.5 psi) compared to the equivalent standard Setrab ProLine cooler.
