Roll Bar Padding
The SCCA currently does not require the use of SFI-rated rollbar padding, but its use is highly recommended in all racecars wherever the helmet may contact the roll cage. In racecars where the seat does not have an integrated headrest, the headrest must be padded with a 1" thick non-resilient foam such as our Part No. 2396 SFI-rated padding.
Note: SFI-rated and FIA-rated foam padding is designed to prevent a helmeted head from contacting a solid object. It is very stiff and does not give except in hard impacts.

Dual Durometer Roll Bar Padding absorbs minor bumps and low-speed impacts, but if heavier impacts occur, the force is absorbed by the SFI-rated inner core. The softer outer layer is easy to remove.
